GES Block Captains, GES Coalition neighborhood members, and GES Coalition organizing staff uphold a community-driven organizing process guided by a shared community vision (written collectively in May 2016), Coalition ground rules (written collectively in August 2017), and cooperative governance (ongoing development since 2015). Collective leadership roles guide the majority of GES Coalition's organizing strategy, policy, and activities.
GES Coalition's cooperative board meets every month. Coalition membership is open to neighbors from the three neighborhoods (Globeville, Elyria and Swansea) who support and adhere to the Coalition's vision and ground rules. Weekly work meetings are open to all Block Captains, who drive the majority of the Coalition's advocacy and organizing work.
